Two days ago Simons hosted an in-store event celebrating National Chocolate Chip Day and our wonderful customers! There were chocolate chip crepes, muffins, and cookies, as well as mimosas. Good times were had by all! Check out a few pictures from the event.

Ruth Graves Wakefield: Massachusetts resident, savvy business lady, and culinary innovator. Why should you care about Ruth? Well in 1937 Ruth invented the chocolate chip cookie by literally chipping off pieces of chocolate from Nestle’s signature chocolate bar and adding them to her cookie batter.
The recipe was published in various newspapers around New England and was a hit. Nestle loved the idea so much that 2 years later they began selling the chocolates in chip or “morsel” form.
They even struck a lucrative deal with Ruth to include her recipe on the back of the packages. Make that money, Ruth!

We recently completed an accessory style challenge brought to us by Instagram user @midlifestyletips. We wanted to show how you could use Simons shoes and accessories to to make a basic black trapeze-style dress work for any occasion, in this case a day of work at the store, date night at the Coolidge, and Yubin’s upcoming trip to Paris this summer.
